Chiang Mai - Big city in North Thailand


Chiang Mai Province

Chiang Mai is province in northern region Thailand which located 700 kilometers away from Bangkok. Chiang Mai is one of Asia’s most attractive tourist destinations. The city famous for it's a 700 years old historic city and rich with natural resources of mountains. The city plan is a tidy square surrounded by a moat with traces of fortification include four main gates to access to the old town.

Chiang Mai surrounded by mountain ranges makes the province height 310 meters above sea level. Most geograpgy of the province is comprise of jungles and high mountains with waterfalls and several national park. For the weather in the ciy is warm and on the mountain is cold all of the year.

Transport to Chiang Mai has several way to go. The city has an international airport, railway road and bus termonal but i'm not recommend for drive your car to the province cause complicated route on mountain.

Doi Inthanon - Thailand’s highest mountain with excited sceny.

Chiang Mai Zoo - A large zoo contains Asian and African mammals include Lin Hui and Chuang-Chuang panda from China.

Chiang Mai Night Bazaar - The night market contains food, restaurants, shop etc.

Mok Fa Waterfall - Amazing waterfall with several tree and flower species.

Ang Khang Royal Project - The station for conducting test temperate plants to be grown in Thailand.

Doi Suthep-Doi Pui National Park - Home of more than 300 bird species and 2,000 species of ferns and flowering plants.

Queen Sirikit Botanical Garden - International botanical garden.

Chiang Mai Walking Street - Include Wualai Walking Street and Tha Pae Walking Street it's local foods and Thai traditional performances.

Hot Springs - Famous hot springs in Chiang Mai like Fang Hot Springs and San Kamphaeng Hot Springs.

Old Temple - Cause the city is 700 years old city make the city has many old temple like Wat Phra Sing, Wat Prasat, Wat Phan Tao, Wat Gate Museum and many other.
