Mae Hong Son or Mae Hong Sorn (The Mist Town)
One of province located in Northern Thailand, which has an area about 13, 900 square kilometers and lowest Population density in Thailand. Mae Hong Sorn was called "three mists town" cause the terrain of province was surrounded by high mountain ranges and covered with mist all of the year. This terrain make Mae Hong Son be one of imagine destination which attract many tourists with wonderful natural scenery every year. The west and north coast of province border Myanmar.
Attraction in Mae Hong Son
Pai - Pai is one of district in Mae Hong Son, which attract many local tourist in present day.
Tham Lot - Tham Lot is a huge cave system, located some 77 kilometres from town.
Tha Pai Hot Spring - This is another attraction in the area of Huai Nam Dang National Park.
Mae Surin Waterfall - A large waterfall falls eighty meters down below.
Salaween National Park - Covering a forested area of 721 square kilometers.
Morning Market - This maeket, visitors can see people lifestyle and buy various local food.
Bua Tong (wild sunflowers) Fields at Doi Mae U-kho - blooms during November painting the entire hilly area of Doi Mae U-kho.
