Kaeng Krachan National Park
Kaeng Krachan National Park is the biggest national park of Thailand located at Phetchaburi province, about 53.5 kilometers from Phetchaburi. Cause the park area cover 3 districts of Phetchaburi Province and Hua Hin the beach resort town district of Prachuap Khirikhan Province then it is very popular park too. The Park has area about 2,915 square kilometers and was declared a national park on 12 June 1981.
Visitors may spot flora, fauna, birds and mammals several species, trees i.e. oaks and maples can find in the park. Namtok Tho Thip is 18-level waterfall, located about 54 kilometers from the Park Office, along Sai Wang Won-Namtok Tho Thip route is worth for visitors. There are viewpoints along the route are suitable for bird, butterfly watching and great viewing misty mountains in the morning.
Kaeng Krachan Dam, which has a height of 58 meters, length of 760 meters, was completed in 1966. The Dam provides visitors with a scenic viewpoint of the reservoir and its islands, the most popular activity in the dam is a cruising trip on the reservoir. Natural Pine Tree Hill is located 9 kilometers from park office, there are scenic stopovers, cliffs and rock garden to visit.
