Kanchanaburi Province
Kanchanaburi Province is the third largest province in Thailand which located 129 kilometres the west of Bangkok, Thailand. Kanchanaburi covers an area of approximately 19,473 square kilometers. Geography of the city mostly be a mountain range. Thanon Thongchai Range located in the north and west be a natural border between Thailand and Myanmar.
The Thanon Thongchai range is the source of two most important rivers Maenam Khwae Noi (Khwae Noi River) and Maenam Khwae Yai (Khwae Yai River), which form Maenam Mae Klong (Mae Klong River), where is the location of Death Railway and the Bridge one of the history place in World War II under Japanese control, the famous Bridge on the River Kwai was built by prisoners of the war.
